The UNIDEL consult administrative office is located on the first site (Old site) of the University; of Delta, Agbor situated along Warri Road. The UNIDEL consult started as a unit named the; “Consultancy unit” of the defunct College of Education, Agbor. Its name changed when it was; registered and incorporated by the corporate Affairs commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a limited liability company to “COEDAG ventures Limited” on the 6th of April, 2004.
The object on which it was established are among others
1. To organize workshops and seminars of all types
2. To act as workshop and seminar managers of all types
3. To prepare specialized training programmes for institutions, schools, Colleges, and Local; Governments. State Government, clubs, Associations, Companies, and NonGovernmental Organizations in regard to specialized needs
4. To establish and manage Bookshops, Book fairs as well as marketing and publishing and the like’
5. To conduct, package, and programme candidates for computer training and Literacy as; well as Desktop publishing and the like
6. To drill Boreholes for both commercial and Residential purposes
7. To purify, and treat water for industrial and domestic uses
8. To market the products of the institution including but not limited to Agriculture, Books, computer items, soft wares, portable water/Table water both in sachet and plastic bottles
9. To run internet services and cyber café shops/ outlets
10. To run business centres including photocopying, telephone, and telex services
11. To conduct feasibility studies for individuals, associations, companies, clubs, and the like.
The Unit was renamed UNIDEL consult and lifted to the Directorate level on the;
establishment of the University of Delta, Agbor from the defunct College of Education, Agbor.; In its present structure, the Directorate is headed by Dr. (Mrs) C. D Moemeke, who is the acting; Director. The Directorate consists of the following sections that perform duties relating to the core mandate.
1. Two Bookshops located at the old and new sites.
2. Business centre that provides photocopying, scanning, binding and laminating services.
3. Identity card production for staff, students, other individuals, clubs, associations, and; corporate bodies that may need the service
4. Book printing and sales
5. Two snack shops (one each) at the Main Campus and Owa Alero campus.
6. Table Water production (factory project which is under construction) located at the main campus
